The Agency Intern will be an active member of the Grizzly team and will have the opportunity to work across all departments throughout all stages of Agency production. S/he will perform a variety of cross-functional tasks to facilitate and ensure efficient Agency output. She/he should be able to communicate effectively via phone and email to ensure all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality in a timely manner. The Agency Intern will be empowered to work independently, rely on effective communication and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, while managing competing priorities. Must have an interest in working at a creative and/or advertising agency. Cover letters encouraged.
Act as “front-of-house” for the Grizzly team, being the first point of contact for most incoming guests (clients, collaborators, the postman, etc.) in person, over the phone, or via email.
Support agency staff on assigned tasks and responsibilities, based on specific individual interests and skillsets
Manage complex calendars and schedule internal and external meetings, events and speaking requests, while being able to prioritize needs, anticipate conflicts and solve scheduling issues with ease.
Manage meeting attendees, agenda, logistics, note-taking, and follow up.
Act as project manager for special projects, which may include: researching and creating presentations, planning and coordinating multiple presentations or meetings, disseminating company-wide information.
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports, including: expense reports, credit card tracking and reimbursements.
Run errands, order lunches, manage incoming/outgoing deliveries, and provide other support as needed.
Ensure that our office space is presentable, prepared for meetings, and stocked with the supplies and amenities the team needs daily.
Coordinate travel for the Partners and other leadership team members, as needed.
Previous internship experience preferred.
Current students and recent graduates considered, Bachelor’s degree in advertising, graphic design, marketing or similar fields preferred.
Must be able to commit to a minimum of three days a week during regular business hours.
Must be able to make an eight-week commitment.
Proficiency in Google apps, MS Office, Slack, video teleconference tools (such as Uber Conference).
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
Have a proactive work style. Know when to take the initiative, think big or small as needed, work autonomously or collaboratively, and provide value throughout the day.
Must be based in San Diego.
Must have reliable transportation and valid US Driver’s License.
Flexibility in schedule, including some nights and weekends, may be required.
Some travel may be required.
