Senior Project Manager

Reports To: Director of Project Management

Position Summary: 

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing the successful delivery of client work at Grizzly. The primary function of the Project Manager is to drive quality client outcomes in alignment with established scopes, timelines, and budgets for multiple, concurrent projects, while incorporating Grizzly standards and processes in the delivery of client work. S/he will collaborate with project team members and the Grizzly leadership team in order to deliver on client expectations every time.

Essential Functions:

Project Planning

  • Create project plans and task breakdowns with input from team members and leadership. Project plans should incorporate iterative milestones, illuminate project risks, align delivery with set timelines and budgets, and account for resourcing availability. All task breakdowns should have discrete estimates.
  • Develop project budgets, work and resourcing plans, and realistic timetables.
  • Establish realistic business goals for clients, and provide accountability through reporting and analytics in addition to providing optimized strategies for moving forward.
  • Define project scope/estimate and write proposals; work with the Producer to create project specifications and time plans.

Project Management

  • Act as the day-to-day Project Manager for Grizzly client projects from start to finish, ensuring successful project completion against deadlines. 
  • Successfully execute project plans by exhibiting ownership of task assignments to assigned project personnel, proactively removing blockers, and ensuring alignment of production output with expected milestones.
  • Maintain project awareness at all times, proactively tracking project budget and scope, identifying risks and mitigation paths, and delivering thoughtful, routine, comprehensive client updates.
  • Deliver fixed price, retainer, and other projects within expected timelines and budgets.
  • With support from the leadership team, ensure quality deliverables by engaging team members, enforcing rigorous QA processes and standards, and taking ownership of end to end delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Champion and leverage Grizzly tools, standards, and processes. 
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve quality project outcomes that client’s goals and expectations.
  • Maintain project forecasts in Grizzly established resource forecasting tool, collaborating with leadership to adjust resourcing plans as necessary.

Account Management

  • With support from the leadership team, participate in client meetings, written status updates, and iterative scope/expectation management.
  • Work to understand underlying client business goals and objectives.
  • Be available for clients as a point of contact.
  • Deliver verbal and written project-centric feedback to personnel, celebrating successes and identifying any misalignments with expectations. Consistently provide visibility to leadership when delivering this feedback.
  • Facilitate discovery engagements (onsite and remotely) that define cross-discipline project requirements. With support from a Team Lead, translate requirements into comprehensive project approaches/plans that align with established timelines and budgets and can be executed successfully by project teams. Support the Accounts team in developing scopes of work following discovery.


  • At least 3-5 years experience in project management and/or account management for integrated, brand and digital communications.
  • Highly motivated, with a proven track record of managing successful client work and/or client accounts.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple business initiatives in an entrepreneurial environment. 
  • Knowledge of all functional agency departments, capabilities and service areas.
  • Strong understanding of a wide range of industries, markets and brands, and what it takes to stand out and service them.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with all agency personnel in developing project plans, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Experience delivering full scope web projects for enterprise clients, ideally in an agency environment.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to make your mark as part of a creative team.

  • A demonstrated consultative, client-focused approach that emanates professionalism and transparency.

Work Requirements:

  • Southern CA or Atlanta
  • Flexibility with schedule to meet client commitments.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required.
